What Object First makes
Object First makes Ootbi: a backup storage appliance built for Veeam alone. What lands on it cannot be changed or deleted within the retention window, not even by someone with admin rights, and that is exactly what an attack on your backup tries to do.
Why Object First, and where it stops
We choose Object First for a backup that has to survive an attack, and only where Veeam is already running, the appliance does nothing else. Where it stops: immutable is not the same as restored. Whether you are back up within a day only shows in a restore test, and we schedule one.

What the price depends on
We do not run a webshop, so there is no rate here that would not apply to your situation anyway. What is here is what the amount depends on, so you know what to send along to get one quickly.
- Model and configurationWithin one product line the gap between the entry model and the heaviest variant is large. Tell us what the device has to do and we pick the configuration that fits, rather than the most expensive one that would.
- The quantityOn a larger batch the per-device price comes down. Twenty at once is a different conversation from two, even when everything else is equal.

Do you supply Object First on its own, without management?
Yes. We supply and configure, and whether the management stays with us is a separate choice. What we do not do is hand over a box and leave the rest to you.
