What Riello UPS makes
Riello UPS is Italian and covers the whole range: from a box under a desk to modular systems for a server room. The Sentinel line is the single-phase variant for a rack or a small room, and PowerShield is the software that shuts connected servers down cleanly before the battery runs out.
Why Riello UPS, and where it stops
We choose Riello for a server cabinet or a small server room where price counts and support in the Benelux has to be good. The most important thing we arrange alongside is not the device but the software: a UPS that does not shut the servers down cleanly turns a ten-minute power cut into a corrupt database. Where it stops: a UPS bridges minutes and not hours. Anyone who has to keep running longer needs a generator, and that is construction work with a fuel supply and an inspection attached.
