What Socomec makes
Socomec is a French family business making backup power and power distribution for the heavier end: three-phase UPS systems from tens to hundreds of kilowatts, built modularly so capacity can be added without switching the system off. Alongside that, metering equipment that shows where the consumption really sits.
Why Socomec, and where it stops
Socomec comes into play with a server room heavier than a few racks, or a building where more than IT hangs off the backup power. Modular build-up is the real argument here: you buy what you need now and add a module later, instead of paying for growth up front. Where it stops, and that is our boundary: the installation is work for an electrical contractor with the right certification. We determine what is needed on the IT side and make sure the UPS reports its status to the network; connecting it to the distribution board is someone else’s job.
