What SteelSeries makes
SteelSeries is Danish and makes headsets, keyboards and mice for intensive use. The Arctis headsets are the best-known line and sit light enough to wear all day, which with a headset matters more than sound quality, because one that presses comes off after an hour.
Why SteelSeries, and where it stops
We supply SteelSeries for workplaces where a headset goes on all day and the user may choose: a service desk, a sales team, a developer who has to shut out the room. Wearing comfort is the property that counts here and you do not get it off a spec sheet. Where it stops: for a call centre with shared headsets and many handovers, Jabra, EPOS and Poly are the right brands; they have replaceable ear cushions, a business warranty programme and integration with the telephony platforms. That is a different question from comfort.
