What SMART makes
SMART Technologies is Canadian and invented the interactive whiteboard; in many schools SMART Board is still the word for a touchscreen, whichever brand is on the wall. SMART Notebook is the lesson software that gave the brand its place, and there is a management layer underneath to keep panels up to date remotely.
Why SMART, and where it stops
We choose SMART where the teachers already work with SMART Notebook, and that is the case more often than a technical comparison suggests: years of lesson material sit in that file format, and throwing it away costs more than the screen. Where it stops: outside education the brand is rare and the software adds nothing there. And on replacement watch the software subscriptions; they run separately from the panel and are regularly forgotten in a quote.

- Delivery and installationTo one address or to fifteen sites, with or without on-site placement, with or without taking away what was there. That difference is in the price and it is yours to steer.
