What SATO makes
SATO is Japanese and makes industrial label printers running in production and logistics, including models that program RFID labels while printing them. The CL4NX line is the best known: a printer speaking most other printer languages, so it can replace an existing device without the software being changed.
Why SATO, and where it stops
We choose SATO for a replacement in an existing environment, and that is why the brand often wins: the printer takes over its predecessor’s language, so the package driving the labels does not have to be changed. That saves the most expensive part of such a project. Where it stops: printing RFID is a different trade from printing barcodes: the antenna, the label type and the read distance have to match, and that is a test on site and not a choice from a catalogue.
