ProLion watches the file storage and steps in as soon as a user or a process suddenly starts encrypting or renaming files en masse. The brand is Austrian and its best-known product, CryptoSpike, sits on NetApp storage.

We choose ProLion when file storage is the heart of the work and an encryption attack would show there first. Where it stops: blocking automatically means a user who did nothing wrong is occasionally cut off, where that line sits is a decision for the organisation and we set it together.
