What Ivanti makes
Ivanti does patching for what Microsoft does not update itself: the browsers, the PDF readers and the dozens of small programs that hold a hole just as readily. That is the gap left when you rely on Windows Update alone, and it is the gap that gets exploited in practice.
Why Ivanti, and where it stops
Ivanti pays off once more than a handful of programs run on the fleet and nobody has time to update them separately. What you should know alongside: in 2024 and 2025 the brand had holes in its own access products, and they were serious.
