What Corsair makes
Corsair makes memory, SSDs and power supplies, and owns Elgato. The memory is the core: modules with a lifetime warranty that hold up under heavy load. For anyone building or upgrading machines themselves, it is one of the few brands whose specifications match practice.
Why Corsair, and where it stops
We supply Corsair for an upgrade or a self-built machine: a workstation needing more memory, a server being topped up, a render box. The lifetime warranty on the memory is the practical gain here, a module that starts producing errors after four years is simply replaced. Where it stops: do not put consumer memory in a business server. A server wants memory that corrects errors, and that is a different kind of module the server maker prescribes. That is no formality: without that correction you see a fault only once the data is already wrong.
