What Argox makes
Argox is Taiwanese and supplies label printers and handheld scanners in the same segment as GoDEX. It stands out with a fairly complete range at the lower end: there is a usable desktop model, an industrial printer and a scanner, all from one supplier and with one point of contact on a fault.
Why Argox, and where it stops
Argox is defensible in a small to medium labelling environment where the printer and the scanner are replaced together and the numbers are limited. That everything comes from one brand saves a conversation about whose fault it is. Where it stops: support and the parts network in the Benelux are thinner than at Zebra, Honeywell or SATO. In an environment where labelling sets the throughput, repair turnaround weighs more than the price difference, and then we advise differently.
