Arctic Wolf sells no software but a managed service: their sensors read along on your network, your servers and your cloud services, and behind them sits a security team twenty-four hours a day that calls when something happens. Every customer has a named contact on that team, and that is deliberate, most alerts can only be judged if you know what is normal at that customer.
Why Arctic Wolf, and where it stops
Arctic Wolf is the honest choice when you have the requirements of a large company and not the headcount: no security team of your own, no night shift, but customers or an insurer asking for monitoring. Where it stops: they report and advise, they are not the administrator of your systems. Who actually intervenes at night (them, us, or someone at your end) is an agreement that belongs on paper beforehand and not at the moment itself.
